116610 / 3135 clones beware.
I heard about this the other day while speaking to Time Care Inc. Rik told me about them.
I have another friend that drove a hour to buy this ceramic sub and it came with box and papers. He passed on the watch and it was a clone. Lucky, he almost got burned for $5800.00 Google " Rolex 3135 clone" and you can see for your self. As per Grady I removed the link. see below. |

It makes me nervous to buy a pre-owned from anyone other than a dealer or here from a trusted dealer. Years ago you could tell a fake right away. I dont know all the ends and outs of every model like some of the guys here on the forum. I look at the "watch out" section and am amazed how some members can find all the flaws in just a crappy picture!! I have heard that the replicas have not been able to reproduce the laser etched crown in the crystal correctly. You look at pictures online and can clearly see the crown big as day. It took me 10mins at the AD just to find mine!! Then bought a loupe, so I could see it again at home again.

That looks pretty good but there are a couple of major things that jump out at me looking at the pictures. In fact I wouldn't even have to open the case to know. Still scary for people who don't know exactly what to look for. Glad your friend passed and didn't get burned.

I honestly can't see the difference (which is a bad thing!!!)
This is very disturbing. I am glad we have great dealers here on TRF to work with. |

I don't think it's a good thing to link such sites that deal with fake watches...

This is priceless! :
"Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner Date watch doesn’t have gorgeous appearance, but its stable and consistent style can reflect a man’s deepness. Noble Rolex 3135 Submariner and classical mechanical watches, for a man, status and charm are self-evident." Really... |

This is not a discussion, it is a warning of people out there trying to deceive. I don't want to buy one and am not trying to sell one. I am sharing something that I learned and would think it might help someone from getting taken advantage of. Like two of the posts above yours that did not know about them. I guess everybody is not as good as you in spotting fakes. |
