Laser Etched Crown found in most new Rolex after 2003 period.
Located just above the 6 o'clock position.
Here is a picture.
I can't see it with my naked eye.
Needed a loupe to see it.

In that listing you can easily see the LEC.
If it can be seen so easily it could mean something is not right.

Thanks I saw that too. The screws in the end links don't look right either. IMO

The crystal on that watch is not original Rolex. The laser engraved coronet at the 6:00 position on an authentic Rolex is virtually undetectable under normal lighting conditions, and is much smaller than the one in the pix.

The bracelet is poorly done,it could never be a Rolex!

Jason its a fake
and as usual "the papers have been misplaced, but will send them to you if found"
I will not buy on the bay without
the Rolex certificate or if newer the Rolex war. card
AND
the Rolex green tag with the serial# on it.

I have yet to see a fake that had both.....

The engraving on the rehaut is askew as well.

I just don't believe that anyone is selling perfect counterfeits.

You can find something wrong at some level on them all.

Here's some of our correspondence:
This is what I wrote: "Just a heads up, not sure how well you know the guy you bought it from, but I have this on TRF right now and it's getting alot of fake concerns. The LEC at 6o'clock should not be that noticeable, and the screws in the end links don't seem right. Not saying it's fake or you know anything about it. Just letting you know what the experts on TRF are saying. Jason"
His answer: "thanks for the "heads up" but my feedback speaks for itself. those "experts" don't deal with watches all day long and handle a million a year in inventory. I'm also a photographer and those pics were taken at f/25 , even micro dust shows up. you can barely see the LEC in person.

if you'd rather buy a new with tags one you are welcome to.. most of my watches sell in 24 hours due to the price and customer service I provide"

Also he added: "LOL @ your thread on TRF
I will go get appraisal letter from my AD tomorrow, re-list at higher price.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-GMT-Ma...p2047675.l2557

That's where I bought it. "

Look at this seller's other Rolex listing:

Look at the lettering on the dial, specifically Oyster Perpetual and spacing of "swiss made" at the bottom of the dial. Platinum dial or silver in color?! Original inner/outer boxes?!

I guess these details are also pronounced due to his "photographic skills"!

As he said, we will wait to see his AD's appraisal letter and the re-listing of the watch at a higher price.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mens-Rolex-D...item3f1d9d9054

Hello! You're looking at a stunning Men's Rolex Date Just, reference 16234. The watch features a 18k white gold bezel, platinum dial, automatic movement with sapphire crystal, with a waterproof rating of 100m. The watch measures approx 36mm in diameter. The serial # starts with an "X", dating the watch to 1991. However, as you can see, this watch wasn't worn more than a couple of times. The watch comes complete with the original inner/outer boxes, instruction manual, appraisal, and the original warranty from the store (which is expired , but included as it's part of the paperwork on this timepiece)

I think you are right that he is a "genuine" seller. I hope he can get his $$$ back.

He had provided you a link to a recent watch he purchased and claimed it was the same watch. Hopefully that seller will make the purchase whole.
