Beware of Scammer Using My Name and Fake Email Address
This continues to happen since first reported in July 2012. Please be careful and use PM to check identity. If the bank wire is going to someone other than my name George Abrahams and you are buying a watch from me, you have a problem.
The method of operation is scammer using name of major sellers myself included and slightly changes the email address (example below). He then offers a too good to be true deal. Still seems to be offering a essentially new Daytona for $8,500. One of the scammers names is Jesus Quinones (name on account to wire funds); however, others may be joining in on the scam. My email is [email protected] the scammer is using [email protected]. Please be careful.

Wow. Is the scammer reaching out via email or PM? How are the "watches" being offered? Very scary as someone who is constantly scouring the FS section...Thanks for the heads up!

I found out the name on the account when he impostered Tony by sending me an email stating " Hi George, Hope all is well, I am wondering if you would be interested in some Rolex watches at the time that my business partner is selling. He has a Rolex Daytona 116520 ss white dial, V series box&papers. Mint for $8,500, he also has a 2 tone Daytona, submariner, and Daytona 116528 solid 18k. Let me know if your interested will send more info.". I stated sure, and contacted Tony via PM to discover Tony had put out a warning. I went along with the charade to find out the banking information to obtain name on account which was Jesus Quinones out of Daytona Beach, FL. The same method of operation (impostering a trusted dealer) is being used on many of the major sellers.
