Sub LV's
Hello all-
Why is the price for previously owned Subs with a green dial/green bezel around 2k more than the 50th anniversary sub with green bezel/black dial? It seem like Rolex rarely has anniversary models. I can't help but laugh when I see Breitling is releasing limited editions on nearly every model. Thanks |

The green Sub 16610LV was the 50th anniversary edition. Some even say only the first year was the true anniversary. The 116610LV with the green gold dial isn't really an anniversary edition. The msrp on the two are reflected in their aftermarket prices. The green dial being more expensive obviously.
The original 50th anniversary edition wasn't limited by any means and could be had if someone really wanted it. The only limited edition that comes to mind is the green ToG for the Japanese market. Sent from my using Tapatalk

Agree, the new ceramics are a much better built and finished watch so justifies the higher price.

The price bubble may burst on some models when informed buyers realize that they are not limited.

On eBay you can find red bezels "made for Submariner" for sale.
That's the only way a true Rolex gets one
