Hello from Los Angeles
I just pulled the trigger on an Explorer 214270 from David(SW). I've been lurking for the past month or so, learning as much as I could before making what is quite an expensive (probably too expensive
 ) purchase for me. I would have liked to purchase my first Rolex from an AD, but they wouldn't come close to the prices I was seeing in the TRF classifieds...these classifieds seem to be the best option for those that don't have the clout to get a big AD discount or don't want to spend $1000 + on a two year warranty and the praise of a salesperson. All that said, thanks for the help. I read threads as far back as '05 and my knowledge of Rolex is 10x what it was before I started lurking here. I look forward to learning much more in the future from what are probably some of the most knowledgable Rolex minds in the world. I'll post some photos when my Explorer arrives on Monday.

Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will love it here. Not only is it a place were the people are extremely knowledgable but they also don't treat the ones trying to learn like a bother. The vibe here is awesome and a great place to enjoy and drool over the watches we love.

Thanks again to everyone for the welcome. I got my explorer today. It's wonderful, but bracelet was a bit large and I didn't have loctite so I took it to the Beverly Hills RSC (just down the street), they removed the link in 5min with no charge...very happy:
