Red seconds hand for my 14060M cosc

Through the kindness of one of our Forum members I have finally located a red Yachtmaster seconds hand for my Sub 14060 M . My question is: How difficult is it to swap them over? Would any competent watchmaker do it? If so , how long/how much do you think they would charge? Would it have to be re sealed etc?I cant take it to a Rolex Service centre for obvious reasons.

An independent watchmaker can do it in a giffy for you... An AD Rolex watchmaker, too, but not all would do it since it's an alteration of the specs.

At service, RSC will bring the watch back to spec, regardless... but you could just swap the red seconds hand with the standard one before sending the watch to service.

Red hand

I'm having a yachtmaster hand installed on my Z serial Sea Dweller. I had to buy the whole set of hands for $210. I bought my watch from Capetown Diamonds in Atlanta and they had it sent to this place. I have no idea if I over or under paid, and I haven't seen the results yet since they still have my watch.

I received my SD back from Jewelers on Time today. Total cost was $210 for the yachmaster handset and $35 for shipping. They did a superb job with quick turn around. I don't know if I under or over paid but either way I'm happy with the outcome. The red hand mades this SD mine for life and something unique to pass down.

$245 isn't bad. I would have done it myself but all my tools to do it cost more than $245.

Sorry about the offending firearm in the picture. I have since boned up on the rules and will endeavor to not repeat the offense. New pic tomorrow with a more acceptable background.
