Rolex at Costco
Found this at the local Costco over the weekend. They also had IWC, Breitling and Cartier but this was the priciest!

There's been quite a few threads over the years on Costco selling Rolex, and other high end brands..

Is it only AD's that can sell new? Would that make Costco an AD? (Not sure how that all works with new Rolex watches..)

I've seen them at a few Costco's. AD's that lost their franchise have sold off some of their inventory to the buyers at Costco. Rolex won't buy back inventory so this is what can happen when they close AD's that still hold inventory, especially high dollar models and hard to move models that have been sitting in their cases for years.

I was in HI visiting the NEX (Naval Exchange) and almost tripped over myself when I saw that they were selling pre-owned Rolex's, in very good shape too. The prices were "okay" and they were giving away a watch winder with each watch purchased. They had a GMT Pepsi that I couldn't put down, and I schooled the salesman on the function of the additional hand, and bezel. Next visit will be in a year, and I will see if they still have the stand, and might pick up a vintage Sub.

120 pack of two ply toilet paper, check.
36 pack of batteries, check. 10 gallon tub of peanut butter, check. 15 pounds of hamburger meat, check. $24,000 Rolex, check. Why can't I get a shopping list like this when I go to costco's. Lol

Spoke to my local Costco manager when I read some of the earlier threads about Rolexes. She said they can dabble a bit based on local demand. But she isn't risking that much money for the little margin to be gained.
They do have Breitlings, etc, though.

The only issue I see is when you have to buy a 3-pack!

Myself cannot see a problem they are only like the many grey dealers world wide. And just like any other third party seller of any retail commodities even watches all brands. And just when you buy a Rolex at a AD you have to go to that store to buy.So its the same as going to Costco or any other retail store only difference Costco is not a AD, just like any other grey market retailer..

For that price (?)...I hope this 118205 is new !!..
Because retail is 34k and they want 24k.....But...if their asking price of 24k...is for a used watch .(?)....Run ......and if it is the 118208....run even faster Also I like the display...holding the pad with the DD in place - by using the box's closing tension... |

I read a while ago that Omega were trying to sue Costco for selling their watches that they'd bought wholesale from a foreign market, undercutting the local AD's. I wonder if Rolex know that Costco are stocking their watches and if they plan on taking similar action.
