Oysterdate: Genuine Rolex Model?

Hello ladies and gentlemen, thank you for taking the time out to see my thread. I have been doing extensive research and am in the market for a used rolex, and one that keeps coming up is a "Oysterdate". Now I have been looking around and they do not have the same consistencies as most "Superior Chronometer Officially Certified" at the dial as well as wikipedia (I know, not always the best source) does not have it listed. So, my question is, are Oysterdates a genuine Rolex product?

The product in question is a "Rolex Oysterdate 6694".

Here is the wiki link.

Thanks again for the help, cheers.

Yes the 6694 Oysterdate is a genuine Rolex watch its a manual wind and was not COSC chronometer tested. But can meet the chronometer standard as most all Rolex watches. The 6694 Oysterdate will have the 17 jewel cal 1225 movement a very fine very long lasting and accurate movement.

A 6694 can be had for peanuts and will serve you well for many years to come
