I won't be getting my Hulk this weekend, which other Rolex should I get?

Hi guys! First off thanks for reading!

I was going to be getting the SubC LN and LV this weekend but I got a call from the store and they said the will not have the LV available the day I am departing the EU. I was kinda looking forward to get the Hulk. It was a sweet deal to get a 21% off of it, since most SS Rolex watches are really missing from stores and only available through waiting lists too (availability + discount = my bank account crying btw, lol)

I will only be getting the SubC (which is an amazing watch anyway, those who like the LV can maybe understand what makes it more special than the LN)... The thing is I still want to buy one extra watch anyway, because the discount is quite good. I've been thinking of the GMTIIc, Milgauss GV, DSSD. Which one would you buy? Thanks a lot guys for your help! Greatly appreciated.

this. if I wanted the LV, regardless of the discount, I'd save up for that. But from your list, I think the GMTII and DSSD are too similar to the SubC, so I'd go with the Milgauss!

Hi Vincent! Thanks for your reply... You're right maybe... I should just keep waiting, or maybe if I really don't like the SubC flip it... but the SubC LN is such an iconic watch... I think that the LV is just different, the dial makes it look more special, but it's still appealing. Ouch. I am still thinking I want to buy one extra SS Rolex just because the discount is quite good. Out of that list I think everything will make me feel happy, but why do I think that the Hulk would be more special than any of those? I am either OCD or I don't want to miss on a deal, or I don't know.

Get this.

It's my favorite in the line. Photo shamelessly stolen from jake's watch blog

I'll just wait for the Sub-C LV. It will pair nicely with your PAM.

I wouldn't buy something just because it's on sale, tempting though it may be. Buy it because you really want it. After all, you're still parting with a significant amount of money.

I suggest you wait for the LV, but from your list, I'd choose the GMT IIc.

probably both (most of us are a bit OCD), but a deal is only a deal if it's something you desire and happens to be discounted. Don't settle for something you want less, because there's a deal on it. The 'new' LV is stunning; that would be the one I'd get. Very special.

This.

If you want to spend money on second watch consider how they can work for you. If you travel often you can get GMT IIc or Explorer II for the second time zone. If you race you can get Daytona. DSSD is also nice, but maybe too similar to SubC. I have GMT and DSSD combo and they work great for me, but it is more about what you will use...

I agree with many of the other posters that you should wait and get the one you want, discount or not. But, if you must I'd say get the 42mm exp.

If you wanted the LV then get it from elsewhere or wait for one to be available, getting another model is second best choice.

No discount will make up for the fact you didn't get what you wanted. Save your money now and buy when you find your LV.

Get the GMT now at a great price for a great watch, enjoy the LN for 3 or 6 months so youve had the great icon, then trade it for the beautiful LV. Done.

i personally wouldn't buy two versions of the sub but if you really want those two, then wait for the lv.
my favourite pair of thos would be the subc and the millgauss gv (or in fact a white dial milgauss...)

Ive had the GMT and the LN. Now both gone but the LV that's arrived in their place is magic. My favorite rolex definitely. Wait for the LV I think.

Steve, I agree... I should maybe hold on and wait until I find it / and or make a reservation

joe100 that airking is looking good! I'm a fan of white dials too. :-)

Duy I do think that too... it's just so hard to find it here! Takes a long time...

Mike I agree... thanks!

Manny and mjclark32 The only thing is that I don't really get the explorer II... I don't like its hands and dial in general... but the case 42mm is a nice size and also its functions, compared to the subs'...Thanks buddy!

Julian I agree too... but it looks too good... I will be picking up something else too and if I really dislike it, I will probably flip it or sell it to finance something new... doesn't sound too bad if you're getting a sweet discount! Cheers!

Vincent65 oh man... I know! It's a really special piece, that dial is just so nice. Might not have many complications but well... let's see... hope I can come across a Hulk soon.

Jan I get you... I think I really like the center links on the GMTc bracelet and of course the cerachrome bezel... plus it's timezone function... I will see tomorrow! I am also thinking on an SS daytona, that would be nice too considering it's got the polished center links and white dial, things that make more appealing to me than others...

Mephist I think that the Milgauss is now at the end of my list... since I started to consider an SS daytona now! Thanks anyway!

luke I am now considering a new watch instead of waiting... the discount is too good. Cheers!

Eric I wish I could, I just would like to come across it at an AD but you need to wait months for it!

jamesbondOO7 hope to get it one day, I love the pepsi bezel!

seand442 true... but I will be taking advantage of the discount and if I am not satisfied I'll just get the LV whenever I come across with it

aksingh Considering this so bad! GMTc or SS daytona!

Antony yay! DSSD is nice, I like it's 44mm case... we'll see tomorrow!! I'll be posting an incoming thread! Cheers!

speedo this is interesting... I've read in some thread a fellow had both SubCs but flipped the LN... We will see! Cheers!

LightOnAHill I will, eventually... Cheers!

Cru Jones this is certainly something that I'm wanting to do tomorrow! We'll see what happens! I'll let you guys know through an incoming post! :D

masterserg While I agree I think that this discount is really quite good, and not common on SS models!

Get the Daytona NOW! Then trade the LN later for the LV and you have the perfect duo. Done.
