V serial Sea Dwellers
Tools mentioned this database on another thread - V serial Sea Dwellers that members have reported.
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=77161 It's interesting to me that most of those reported (approximately 50) were bought in the UK or Europe with a few in other locations. I came across a few new Sea Dwellers at US ADs when the new ones were drying up (late 2009) and they were all M or Z. Obviously there's no way of knowing how representative the locations recorded here are of the total numbers sold though . . . |

Little letters between lugs won't really change the SD value to its owner.

fortunately to get one of the last ones in Canada myself, and love it! Long story short, had to get Rolex Canada to order one myself, as AD weren't able to.

Yeah, I agree that V serial SDs probably aren't worth more than M or other serials. Still I find it interesting that it seems like a high percentage of the V serials were sold in Europe, judging by the postings on TRF. I think there's something to be said for having one of the last ones made, even it it's not worth any more.

Rolex have never made a series of any watch its just case serial and except for a different alphabet first letter .Very much like any other Rolex serial over the past 20 odd years ,and every one just one of a kind and everyone unique to that particular watch case.

I believe the first DSSD:s were M-serials. :)

/s I wish there was more of a focus on the change that happened when they got rid of lugholes as opposed to the change in moving between letters of the alphabet.
