My first vintage rolex!

Just wanted to say what a pleasure it's been reading through this board. I finally took a dive into the world of vintage rolex and picked up a 1680 from Andrew Shear. Hopefully it'll be the first of many as eventually I'd love to pick up a 5513 and red sub but one thing at a time I suppose. :) Here's a pic of my new baby!

Welcome to TRF from another Canuck...

Nice looking 1680! I also would like either a 5512 or 5513, maybe even a 1963 (birth year) model...sigh

Exactly what does "Canuck" mean because my two grandfathers were from Canada and they both kept calling us kids "little canucks" and I never asked what it meant. I knew it had something to do with coming from Canada but I never looked it up. They were from Montreal.

From what I gather, the word "Canuck" is just a slang word for Canadians... "Canucks" however is the name for the the future Stanley Cup champions this year if the NHL ever gets back to work! Lol :)

Just a quick question... Does anyone think the pearl/bezel is original to the watch? Andrew thinks so but in a little unsure as the pearl is a different color from the hands/dial. Regardless, stull absolutely in love with the watch. Any comments appreciated! Thx
