Gambling
Do you gamble? When and where? What's your game?
I prefer Blackjack. I stayed at an Indian casino north of Seattle this week and made out well. I was also smart enough to recognize when they brought in the cooler and I walked away before my luck really turned. I play a very conservative game, following the generally accepted rules and ignoring "hunches". |

Not a big gambler.
My story is, they don't build those giant casinos to give money away. I am guessing you were at that Casino with the Orca's out front, right off I-5?

No, they don't give the money away. But they pay the rent with slots. A smart blackjack player can do okay, even without counting. |

Gambling on racehorses is my hobby and passion........From April to the start of November each year. Then I get six months off during the winter to study form for the next season.
A large chunk of my GMT II was paid for by decent sized bets on the Derby and Oaks. |

I don't really gamble. I've only played the slots at the casinos and I've done that twice in my life.

Same here, twice way back when you actually put quarters into them. A $20 roll gave me my evening's entertainment.

Every chance I get and just about on anything. In the casinos the game is usually 3 card poker, craps or Blackjack. Otherwise it is on a ball game or while on the golf course.

When In Vegas I do like "Let it Ride"
I seem to do fairly well. Not making tons, but enough for an evening of "free" drinks and a few $$ in my pocket.

I like to gamble in Vegas. Just on slots and also on sports. I mostly go there for the nightlife and to check out all those hot females that you see everywhere in vegas.

The only gambling I do is in the stock market. I like casinos though, i'm attracted to the big name entertainment, great dining, bright lights and gorgeous women!

Most Aussies are gamblers.....we like the horses, the pokies (slot machines) cards, roulette and even a political outcome gets wagered.
Biggest win I got was a trifecta (3 horses past the post in the right order) AU$5350 in 1999. Wasn't a form bet...just dead lucky on three numbers. Quinella is better chance... first TWO horses...doesn't pay as well though unless you have an outsider in the pair. |

Only the ponies from time to time. Had a chance to visit Del Mar last year but usually it's Keeneland here in Ky.

I enjoy Gambling. Mostly Craps and Blackjack. Not a big spender though. My wife and I will spend the same as what it would cost for a nice evening out. We're about an hour to Atlantic City and I try to fit a Vegas trip in once a year. I don't think I'll be able to go to Vegas next year.

No, Gambling has never appealed to me, I always thought it sleazy, maybe I watched to many mob movies as the two seem to go hand in hand still!
Good luck to anyone who does though, I hope you win a bundle! |

I play Roulette with an american 0/00 wheel; It's like 8% to the house. But it can take quite a while to go through a couple of hundred. Most I've ever won in a single day was $300. Kept stuffing the regular chip payouts in my pocket, so when I ran out of roulette chips, I had a pocket full of regulars plus the free drinks. But it's rare.
I'll occasionally play some mindless slots to pass the time. Love the "HayWire" one. I will not go to any local casinos though; only play on the cruise ships. So last visit was almost two years ago.
