Lucky Find at the local AD: Last Gen Explorer II

Greetings from Kuwait,

Went in to try the 216570 this evening... too big for my skeletal 6 1/4" wrist. The fat dials and markers were a bit shouty as well. Got disappointed and made to exit the store when the salesman said, why not try this model, it's discontinued but will fit you better? Turned out to be nothing less than a white dial 16570 Explorer II !!!. The very last they had in all their Kuwait outlets (black or white). Somehow, I managed to muster my best poker face and scored a 15% discount. Left the store with my first Rolex and a very big smile.

My sincere thanks to all the participants in this excellent forum for helping me reach this choice, and I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

You go a winner! I have a few watches, and that one gets the wrist time over all the others. Enjoy!

My daily wearer. Congratulations! The most comfortable Rolex in the line up in my humble opinion.

It does sound too good to be true. My wife is the camera geek. I'll try to have her snap and prepare a couple of shots.

Just to be sure, the serial number starts with a V. Does that mean it has the coveted 3186 movement? It does have the repeated ROLEX engraving around the dial (rehault?).
