Blancpain X Fathoms
Just got my Blancpain mag in the mail today. It has a cool cover that even has some lume to it. Anyway they discuss the new X Fathoms watch which really sounds like an engineering marvel. For those that think the Deepsea is monstrous check this one out. 56mm diameter and 24mm thick. I'm including a link to a review I found online.

I was expecting a huge depth rating based on the dimensions...but was surprised at the amazing complications instead!
Cool watch!

I respect the technology in it and the useful dive features but, having dived a bit, I think that clarity is the utmost importance. When I first saw a lume shot of it I couldn't tell what the time was or what the depth was. I wouldn't put my life at risk with it underwater.

two hands for depth ,,, lol
and a five min timer for deco ,,, i dont thin its for diving at all certainly not for any more than rec diving. my last deco was about two hours ,, dread to think how id keep track of how many times id have pressed the deco timer , good job theres an hour hand in there , i dont doubt its very nice inside , but i certainly wouldnt class it as a dive watch. mind you , it does make a g shock look like a dress watch. |
