Truly Scary!

So up early looking at EBay and there at the bottom of a page of Submariners for sale is a "sponsor" web page known as Rolexwatchmaker.com., which as it turns out is not only a replica dealer but you can pre-order your Z serial number replica which is water resistant to 200 meters and they also have a Forum section with feedback and photos!!
As I said from the top TRULY SCARY

Those really not that good

The Explorer I is pitiful! The Coronet is wrong, the font is wrong and the second/minute marks are wrong.

Why would counterfeits be scary? The advancement of technology, and the high demand for these "Status Symbol" watches have created a market for crafty people in China to purchase decent CNC machines to make high quality imitation watch cases using lesser quality 316 Stainless Steel and source out their materials such as movements from Swatch, Crystals from who knows where, etc. In this day and age where even the gangsters off the streets wear the so called "blings" along with the rappers who have no more than a 7th grade education, it is their easy access to "disposable income" that is making all this possible for the your "wannabes". The shortcut lifestyle. Make money fast, and have something to "Prove". The only way for these people who buy fake Rolex to make a statement about themselves, is to buy into that "Image is everything" crap.

Gone are the days of "Gentleman's Agreement", gone are the days of a little boy learning
the meaning of respect from a classic western movie, gone are the days of a "Gregory Peck" movie that teaches the viewers how to be a gentleman. Gone are the days of starting from a "mailroom" and working your way up, gone are the days of joining a country club where they have real caddys. We live in an age where you spend more than you can afford, such as living in a one bedroom apartment, driving a Benz and putting a $3000 plasma on credit card.

Just know that even if we can't spot it as a fake, they know in their hearts that it's a fake. So they may go home, and find it amusing that they fooled a guy wearing a real $7000 Blue Sub with their own $550 16610. So what?

Who is a Rolex wearer?

For me, I may not be rich, but I've paid my dues. I worked hard, and I tried to keep smart. I thank God that despite my less than perfect career decisions, financial decisions, business decisions, and life decisisons, I'm still staying above water. It doesn't take my Rolex TT Datejust nor my Blue Sub to remind me that I am doing okay in life. It's just a damn watch. But then again, it is a fine instrument that I enjoy on a daily basis.

One more thing that I like about a Rolex watch is that unlike a BMW, I can expect my watch to give me lasting satisfaction for the rest of my life. Afterall, they've kept the Submariner model pretty much the same since its introduction in 1954. These watch are never an investment, for I don't expect my watch to appreciate in value for more than what I paid. But, the sooner you buy one, the cheaper it'll be.
