Ok, so you know I have made a deposit on a DSSD and it is waiting for me, but I have a small issue. I keep going back to the 116610LN and even more to the Expy II polar! Am I crazy?

I'm not a 1 watch person, but this one will get 95% wrist time and only switch out when I'm doing yard work or really beating around. Went o another AD today o look at rings or the wife and also got to look at the above choices again. Dang does that DSSD look good...BUT that white explorer just looks....so....tempting! I hate decisions. And no, I can't have both.

Edit: this is important so let me add this: if I do go with the subc or explorer, I can save that extra 3,000 and take the kids to Disney this year, or go towards the ring for the wife. Argh!

All three are great choices. I'd tend to gravitate to the ceramic bezels because scratches on the finely brushed ExpII bezel would drive me nuts (ended up switching a 40mm ExpII for an LVc), but, if you don't have that OCD, any would be fine.

116610LN and take kids to Disney! Priorities are priorities. Besides I prefer the 116610LN over the DSSD.

This is all I needed to read... Forget the DeepSea and get the Sub! I prefer my 216570 Noir over my 116610LV, however, think you will enjoy the Submariner more!

I want to stick with the DSSD, and don't want to regret not getting it because the price will only continue to climb. I just have a watch problem...haha. This place is my therapy.

This is what I have kinda been thinking. I had to sell my 16610 a couple years ago to pay some bills and have missed the sub terribly. The new sub c is just beautiful. I'm positive I would be happy with the sub for the long haul. I have also recently had concerns about the thickness of the DSSD. I really don't like TOO much attention drawn to me.

I'm really glad I've had all this time to think about this purchase. I think it's the right thing to do to let the AD know my plans, so he doesn't keep the DSSD out of display for someone else if this is what I decide.

Another great reason to get a Sub. If you want something a bit more out there go for a Hulk.

The DSSD is quite noticeable in person, it is insanely thick (for a Rolex)

The Sub is comfortable, understated and cheaper! Get it and enjoy Mickey & Minnie!

I think if you can wear the DSSD go for it, my wrist is too small but if I could I would! I think it is such an incredible technical achievement and a stunning watch.

This was my sub. I waited 10 years to get it and sold it after 18 months or so. Sad day.

As you can see, I could wear a bigger case Bc my wrists are flat. I think the sub fit just right though.

I have gone through quite a few watches in the past 3 years (and kept quite a few) but my everday daily wearer rotation has boiled down to Polar EXP 42 and Sub-c LN. Both offer great looks, comfort and easy readability. Good luck.

There is however, one caveat. If my bonus ends up being REALLY good, I can do the DSSD and Disney! But, I will be happy with sub if that's what happens. I really won't know until they let us know what payouts are in a few weeks!

What could you possible do that you need a DSSD?? The Sub is over kill for any pro diver. The DSSD is like a Hummer 1 for getting groceries...

Get the Sub and dont look back.
