Is this a factory dial?
I have what I believe is a 'easy' question.
Is this a factory F series DJ dial? I have no concerns of the actual watches authenticity, but I don't have a way to confirm the actual dial. I just dropped by my AD to get an appraisal on it for insurance purposes and they are claiming it isn't. I believe this is the case of an ignorant employee. Their comment was that the coronet isn't shaped correctly. I've studied it and all the fonts look spot on to me... It might just be that the silver color of the dial is playing tricks on my eyes, but it looks like the opening at the bottom of the coronet is larger than others I've sen. I don't have a factory catalog to compare to, so I thought I would reach out and ask the group. Thoughts? Sorry, the picture is slightly blurry, I just snapped it with my phone.

Original Rolex warranty certificate for this watch should tell you the truth if you have it of course

I know you took the picture with your phone, but clariry is paramount in these cases and this one is not clear enough for me to commit myself.

Here is another picture, probably the best I can do right now. I do have the certificate, and everything matches up well. For whatever reason, I think my AD is just being difficult.

please get on good clear shot of the dial front on, then another focussing in on the diamond setting on one diamond marker only thanks, really need a clear dierctly front on shot with no blurr to authenticate, the font does not space out right in that photo it could be blurr or on an angle, that is why a clear direct on shot is necessary to authenticate, also imperfections are seen in the swiss made printing regards

Here is a much better photo, I cropped out the background. Unfortunately I don't have a macro lens.
I've looked at it with a loupe and everything absolutely looks spot on. The paperwork matches the dial, and the watch. I believe I'm dealing with an uneducated AD employee and will be returning tomorrow to speak to my regular contact.

well the swiss made looks better centred and the gap between words looks better it also does not appear to have the imperfect letter M in made in the new shot, what do the papers say, show us a pic please of the papers ? looking better in that latest shot, but still need to see a real close up of the diamond setting, is that shot dead centre as look at this.

Yep, that's awesome. I do believe it's my fault the lines don't align perfectly. If you look top to bottom the lugs are askew in that direction as well, I ended up taking it with a slight twist.
I'll take another in a few minutes and post it up to include everything asked for.

Okay.. Here are a couple more. To be honest, I am an absolutely completely horrible photographer. These were taken with my DSLR, but without a macro lens I really can't get a close up of the setting.
I also struggled to take a perfectly dead center head on pic. I tried though! Serial Number Edited:

Like Padi always says: Your AD is talking out of a place where the sun don't shine.

now you see how important it is to get a straight on shot when checking out these things as we in watchout can only go by the photos provided, we need clear straight shots, each shot is looking better and better. Personally i remove the dial, that is the best way if you have the watch or look at the setting under a loupe. However the papers are pretty clear and the long code on the top has the dial code in it, and bracelet code, from that you can tell the colour and dial type without even seeing the watch, diamond dial models use a letter code as well as a number, this is correct code for your dial in my references, the diamond setting looks ok
