WG DAYDATE2: Pics Please

Hi. Does anyone out there have one of these?

I tried on YG and RG. I just can't pull it off.

AND, if you read any of my previous threads, I kind of prefer to keep it "under the radar".

Looking to see wrist shots if possible. And does anyone know what dials have lume, besides the stick dials, if any?

Many thanks,
Superdog

You need to try on the plat version Seth. Very recommended.

I've thought about it Mike.

But I recently decided to live a little and want to go gold and get a circa 72 vette.

I don't do credit for luxury items and that puts me at my limit.

In my opinion, the fluted bezel is a MUST on the DD or DJ. Such a beautiful watch!!!

Is there a WG white dial roman with smooth bezel?
I am stuck between the WG DD2 or Nautilus or Smurf as next addition.
I have found I don't wear my YG DD or my TT bluesy, just can't pull off yellow.

Regards.

IIRC the smooth bezel DD2 is reserved for platinum.

I remember the smooth bezel WG in the DD, but the larger iteration only has smooth in plat. It's a pity, unless Rolex offers it at Basel.

Regards.

I have seen this very watch in person on a few occasions in the wild, and it is absolutely breathtaking. It shines with the fire of a thousand suns - the light off the Super President and fluted bezel.

thanks for the pics guys. they all look great. but, i have to say, i don't love the sticks. like, but don't love.

and i have realized, in the past, that i just can't live without lume. this is getting tougher and tougher.

i think i might actually pass. for this money, it needs to be perfect. and the sticks are not for me, at least in pics and i can't find it in person.

absolutely love the romans and the arabic, but need lume. so close....

Seth, I feel the same about the sticks.

For a 36mm DD, the sticks look good. But for the DDII, I prefer arabic or roman numerals.

Is the WG Day Date unpopular? It seems RG and YG get most the glory. Do most people feel the WG is too close of a look to Stainless? Just curious. I don't see too many people buying WG

Watchtime mag. had a write up on the white gold DD 36mm with smooth bezel. It was a special edition Watchtime just on Rolexs .

I've thought about it, but don't want to buy just to buy.

And I love my 116622 so much I doubt I'd wear a DJ2 as they would be worn to similar occasions.

What is it about the lume that's an absolute deal-breaker for you?

Well, I am starting to waver. But I like to wear my watch doing pretty much everything, including sleep.

I've had a no lume before and even if I'm outside and can't see it at night, I get frustrated.

The again, it's rare I won't have my phone. Extremely rare. Which is why I'm wavering.
