Rolex Milgauss real or fake?

This is from craigslist, I guess the guy is also putting it on ebay soon. It looks right to me but then, I am a novice. I only have a datejust. He is asking 4800 firm and it would need to be serviced (is what he said). If any Milgauss enthusiasts could help me identify, that would be great.

From those pics it looks alright...hard to tell without closer ones...assuming that's the watch you'd get at a meet-up. Maybe ask him to send you some additional pictures of the back, and the clasp opened up.

I would be concerned as there are bullets in the picture, and a lot of them.

$4800 for a non-GV is not really much of a deal anyway. Not worth the risk, in my opinion.

Genuine.
All original.
Not stolen.
No finance on it.
In sellers possession.
etc. etc.

If all of the above then you know the seller?

Agreed. Have seen BNIB with full warranty with white or black dials from mid to high fives price range on the TRF For Sale post. Just not as popular as the GV although I like the white dial model.

I would pass, especially if it needs service which could cost from $400-$500 for a full RSC overhaul.

Did you ever manage to clear all this and buy a Rolex? We even know of AD making false insurance theft claims and selling the supposedly stolen watches under the counter. Do you check that too when buying from an AD? There is a limit for everything.
