Some impressions:

It is a very nice watch, indeed!

For the first time in my "Rolex history" I did have to adjust the clasp, however. With the GMT IIc I have the pin in the last of the three holes inside the clasp (making for the shortest lenght without having to remove a link).

It is a VERY comfy watch. Sometimes I am in doubt if I have it on!

Precision: seems to lose 1 sec/day, but with my "shake" method I can make it go precisely during the day.

Lume is PERFECT!

GMT hand is spot on as it should be (not misaligned).

Date changes 10 secs. after midnight!

All in all I am VERY satisfied!

Congrats Bo. Lots of luck with it. I tried one of those on the other day and I think it's the most comfortable watch I've ever had on my wrist.

Wow awesome!!! Thanks for sharing so many pics.

So Im about to do the same BO as you and flip my sub for the GMT, do you miss your SD at all? I have the GMTc coming and Im not sure if I should keep it and sell the SS sub. What do you think? GMT is better than SD/Sub?

Well, I wouldn't say it's "better", but it is different! I like the heavier construction of the bracelet and claps, and the better lume. Also, the watch seems almost as big on the wrist as the SD but is a much more comfortable watch to wear IMHO. The ceramic bezel insert is very different compared to the anodized aluminium bezel insert and can look both jet black but also kind of like pewter in colour, depending on light conditions. Very attractive!

I have the Sub and looked hard at the SD. The GMT IIc is a big watch, heavier than the Sub, but slightly lighter than the SD. However, the GMT sits flatter on the wrist than the SD, and is less prone to flopping around. The GMT also fits under my cuff, unlike the SD.

As far as "better" or not, that is also subjective. The SD and Sub trump the GMT in depth rating. The GMT IIc and Daytona have the new hairspring, and like Bo said, the ceramic bezel looks great. My Sub bezel now looks somewhat dull compared to the GMT. The bracelet and clasp of the GMT is more solid than the Sub/SD.
