Help with serial number - Datejust

Hi gents

Im stuck in Doha Qatar where the second hand trade is dodgy at best. Id really appreciate some assistance as Ive been offered a watch ive wanted for a while.

Ive been offerd this and while I have done abit of homework Id like to know your thoughts.





Im highly sceptical but,
= Solid back, no engraving
= Serials on the bracelet are correct
= Date magnification looks correct
= Clasp is staped out but not marked
= Correct me if I’m wrong but the datejust didn’t come with a triplock crown seal
= Hands are full sized and shaped
= I need to check the engraved serial between the lugs
= The bracelet is VERY stretched out, I’m assuming nothing can be done and I’ll have to get a leather strap for it.

Sould I bother doing more homework or have I missed something? Fake? Whats an aceptable price?

Any feedback would be greatly apprciated.

The endlinks are correct. Looks like a real vintage datejust. 70's most likely? . What does the serial begin with? If condition is not great then the price is for you to decide. Mov't ' should be 1570 calibre .. 1575 with date. The crown should just have a line under it not 3 dots. Edit.. Clasp may be over polished and thus stamps have worn away.. Or it's fake. Very hard to tell but head and endlinks look 100% real.

If you take a nice clear shot of the other side of the clasp showing all the numbers it may help.

My 1971 DJ has a non quickset, hacking 1570 movement.

It seems that some 1575 movements were marked 1570?

Hope your well Eddie. The 1575 is a 1570 calibre with a date complication. As you noticed they usually just say 1570 on them
