Just looked at a Milgauss green crystal
Ok I want to be up front I don't love the Milgauss, but I did not turn down a peek at the first green crystal Milgauss one of my ADs had. It was in the back held for the #1 on the list.
My first impressions are the case looks massive, I could not believe how big the case was when compared to the typical DJ. The watch almost looked fake to me because I had a set idea in my head of how the watch would look “in person” it was huge. The crystal reminded me of the old green Coke bottles we used to drink from as kids. I loved the second hand; you must see the watch to appreciate how neat the second hand is. The photos we have seen up to now just do not do the watch any justice. My number one issue with the Milgauss is still the lack of a date feature. In today’s world (for me) a date is a I can’t live without feature. On a positive note if the Milgauss is in the western U.S.A. I would hope by now it is everywhere. Sorry I don’t have any photos as I did not have a camera at the time. |

Great to hear. I was supposed to go look at one today, but was too sick to make the trip.
Will head out tomorrow now for sure, after what you have said. The green one apparantly has my name on it Not that I am really in the market for another one right now.

Tombstone we must shop at the same AD I bought my Turn-O-Graph today, I am so happy, as the sales woman was finishing my sale she asked "Do you know what a Milgauss is?" I said yes and she asked if I wanted to see one. I was shocked when she came back with the Green crystal edition. Yes it is massive, I tried to buy it because I would have sold it ASAP but no luck she said they only had one and it was for a gentleman who left a blank check for the watch several months ago.
PM me with the AD info you saw yours at to see if we were in the same place. I got on the list, I am number three. They said they expect four more within the next three months. This according to the Rolex district sales manager. She made me swear I would not say anything about the watches, She claims they are going to cover the short list then put any other Milgauss they receive into the case first come first serve. |

I expect you would have sold it ASAP for a much higher price.
Nice to know the members who are keeping the prices high.

Well yes the Milgauss should stay close to msrp but then so should the Daytona which is out of control $12,000 plus I blame Rolex for false supplies of the Daytona.

But, when it comes to the Daytona he's still asking over sticker. What's up w. that? Is the Daytona really that hard to get?! It's the only sport that I have any association with that Rolex sells watches for, and it's the one watch I don't have. |

I 've seen this IWC in a dealership here. It's such a solid looking watch and it looks great too. The only disadvantage is that it's retail price here is 9280 Euro. Way too expensive

Dang
I just got back from the AD. They sold BOTH of the Milgauss' before I got there. Was prepared to step back into the Rolex ring with the green one. The thing that got me was, they sold them both to one couple who was visiting here. Not even regular customers . They did assure me that BOTH the green & the clear crystals will be regular production pieces. Similar in supply to the sub-mariner when it first came out. Not like the Daytona's. So will have to wait a bit longer

I want to like the Milgauss, but really prefer Rolex with crown guards for some reason.

Thanks Steve! The watch is quite tastefully done. Despite weighing 156 GR. and over 13 MM in height, the Milgauss wears very well. The matt dial isn't "in your face" and blends the orange accents, seconds hand quite well with the white batons.

Hey I resemble that remark.
But, alas, I too don't like it...the lightning bolt second hand just looks silly to me.

Great pics, Mike. The wrist shot puts it into proportion. I was initially thinking that it was a slightly bulked up EXP I. Wrong!

I must not hate them that much as I'm top of the list for a GV with my source. Stunning pics by the way. |

Once again your pics amaze Mike! How long have you owned the Millie? Glad to hear that they will be in regular production John I may be tempted but not at an inflated price... that is why I'll never own a Daytona I guess?
