5513 Details
Where would a 5.8 million serial 5513 fall? Should this vintage be hacking or non? O-ring or non? Trip lock on non? Tropic 19 or non?
I have a friend who picked up an amazing looking maxi 5513 5.8 million serial and it just looks too good to be true. And the final tough one, maybe not for Mike! Should between the lugs read STAINLESS STEEL SERIAL REGISTERED DESIGN 5513 or should it be flip flopped? Thanks guys |

A 5,8xx,xxx SN will put in the 1978-79 time frame for manufacture. Can't help you with the other questions.

Yeah, I'd say 77 to 78 or so. It will hack. If original probably Twinlock no O-ring though there's a body of evidence that seems to feel the o-ring came about circa 1978.
Registered Design at 12 o'clock. Original Rolex Design came about early 80s T19 is good. |
