DateJust II 116300 Black Face availabilty

Hi everyone, New to the forum.

Just bought a 116300 silver-faced DateJust II for my brother. I'm wanting the black-faced one but have been told by an AD that the black-faced one is in very short supply in Canada. Can anyone in Canada confirm this or have you heard similar?

Well, I've been to 2 AD's and both have told me the same thing.
No black face, smooth bezel DateJust II currently available through their networks in Canada.
One told me probably couple months & the other one told me 4-6 weeks.
Supposedly if I put a deposit down, I can get one of the first ones allocated from the next shipment Rolex Canada receives from the homeland.

4-6 weeks is not a long wait. I purchased my Silver face Datejust 2 41mm in Toronto Canada. I had to order in advance and wait 3 weeks. Funny thing? They had the white and black face in stock in the display case

I suppose it might be hard for them - have you reached out beyond their personal network to other ADs in major Canadian urban areas?

Not that I have heard. You can place an order and it will take a month at the most (when the orders get filled).

I forgot to post an update, long story short decided not to wait any longer so I ended up taking home a white faced, fluted bezel, DJII 116334. I've got a very, very shiny, sparkly dress watch.

Congrats. I'd love to get that model if Rolex would ever release it in a new jubilee bracelet.

Very nice, as that is my favorite as the white faced DJ II is my favorite in the DJ line!

Yeah I think the jubilee bracelet matches the fluted bezel better but I can live with the oyster bracelet for now

If I was gonna be a 1 watch guy, I would have held out for the black faced DJII

Here's my current "Terrific Trio": white, black & silver, my 3 favourite colours!
