Pre owned sellers in SE England
Hi guys,
I've always wanted a rolex but never really had the money to invest but recently I've had a touch and come into some money. Before I buy new I've been looking into the pre owned market. After doing some research I hear there are some good places in London for pre owned. Hatton garden, bethnal green, Burlington arcade to name some. Can any of u kind people recommend anywhere that's trusty and offer good prices in the SE England??? I wanna try and get an 18ct Daytona or sub if I can but couldn't afford new ones. Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks. |

Burlington Arcade great for selection but the prices can be on the high side.
A chum of mine bought a watch from The East Grinstead Watch Company and said it was an easy transaction - not a million miles away from Kent - but can't comment on them personally. As I'm sure others will say, look in the for sale section on here via Trusted Sellers. |

My list of bookmarks, I wouldn't aim to Central London for the best prices...quickest way to get a ballpark of prices is via www.chrono24.com they also have an iOS app which is great.

I have personally found the staff at David Duggan Watches in Burlington Arcade to be very good. Not cheap, but very good.

Worth considering Watch Finder in the Royal Exchange, in the City of London. Their website is www.watchfinder.co.UK.

you can, and definitely should not be afraid to negotiate with any B&M shop. especially when you are spending 1000's.
when I was searching for mine, I generally offered 10% less as a starting point unless it was plain that the price was already rock bottom and if it was I generally avoided it, as there is usually a reason. never assume you know something other people dont. these guys sell watches for a living. if you can get 5% and its the one you want, do it.

If you decide to go the new route you can look into getting a Signet card (you can find informative threads on here).
Basically you buy 1 share in Signets Jewelers Group and you'll receive a card which entitles you to 10% off at any Earnest Jones. That's how I bought my Explorer last year. |

i know im a little late on the posting. my 2 cents. dominic from hackettwatches is the person to go to if in london. my dealings with watchfinder are they are a bit pricy and offer you sweet f all on trade ins. All the best
