Just purchased 2 Rolexes here and have a question

I recently bought myself a datejust 116200 with black dial and stick markers from a trusted seller.

Then I got a 179173 from a different seller with blue diamond dial and tt oyster bracelet for my girl.

Now I'm reading where somebody here bought a bnib watch with non-original parts on it. So I'm a little worried. Both sellers assured me my watches were all original, but I don't know enough to tell.

Does the ladies 179173 come factory with oyster tt bracelet and blue diamond dial? Rolex website not showing it that way, does their site show every configuration? My watch is more common and I've seen others that are just like it, I'm more concerned about my girlfriends. Maybe I'm just paranoid, both my sellers had a ton of references. . .

Rolex.com does not show all configs.

Try going to an AD who may have a comprehensive list. Someone here may know...but I will venture to say not as many here are completely up on ladies models.

You could bring it to RSC and have it checked out if all original and authentic. The ADs may not know all the configurations to say it's all original but RSC would know if all the parts are original.

Yes, the 179173 can come in that configuration.

The DJs are available in all kinds of dial choices so it is best to check with an AD. They have a book with pics of all the dial choices for each model. Not all dials are available on every model.

As far as the 179173 coming standard with a TT oyster bracelet, I believe it is available with both, either the oyster or jubilee. As far as the bracelet being TT, yes it is. The "3" designation at the end of just about any Rolex model designates the two tone version of that model, which basically means the bezel and center links on the bracelet.

If you cruise through this catalog you will likely find the dial option you were wondering about...

Hint: see page 41!

Yes. My wife has the exact watch with TT oyster bracelet except she choose the champagne diamond dial.

Paul the catalogue only goes to page 37. Looks like pages went missing.

Probably should have asked these questions BEFORE buying but if it really bugs you just pop into the NYC RSC and ask them to take a look at your watches.

I agree, best to go to RSC NYC and ask them.

Just by saying a watch came in that configuration does not make it authentic.

Yes, you are being paranoid.

The idea that you should be worried because of a dubious, unverified, claim of a watch purchase is without foundation..

If you are unsure of your purchase, have it properly verified and then let us know..

Fyi - If your purchases came with its papers the configuration it left the factory in is listed in the description via model number which tells you the dial and bracelet combo.

Why the cheap shot? The trusted sellers work hard on doing a good job and aren't fair game for vague innuendos.

Thanks for the great info. They both came with papers so I will check, I will also check the catalog.

I did ask the questions before the purchase, just wanting a little reassurance.

I am thrilled with the watches by the way. They were both in awesome condition, the transactions went smoothly, both are still under factory warranty for a while, and I saved thousands.

Love this forum by the way, taught me so much so quickly.

Now I'm trying to resist the temptation to start a collection!

Thanks again.
