Gold GMT ll, Black or Green?
I am thinking about getting a Gold GMT ll. I can't decide between the standard black face and green arrow or the anniversary green faced one. To all of you that have them. Are you glad you chose the one you did or are you now wishing you should have gotten the "other" one? Just wondering.

I don't have one but wanted to respond anyway! I saw the green dial gold GMT II at two different ADs this weekend and don't like it at all. Too much IMO. The black is definitely more versatile. Just my 2 cents!

I like the gold/green dial a lot!
I would go for that one if money were no object and I was comfortable with a flashy watch. Aside from being sort of uncomfortable wearing all that gold, I like the gold one better for pure looks.

I like the green. You can always get the black with the TT or SS or almost any other watch!

I'm really happy with the black face. I wouldn't get it any other way.

Funnily enough, I actually had the same thoughts this morning when I was sitting browsing the new Rolex catalogue whilst having a cup of coffee.
I admire the YG GMT IIc, but if I were to choose between the "Anniversary" (green-dialled) version and the all-black one, I'd take the all-black GMT IIc anytime! What I especially like on it is that the font is WHITE and not gilt like on the YG Sub Date, for instance. On the "Anniversary" GMT IIc, the font is gilt. The all-black dialled GMT IIc is an awesome Rolex, IMHO, and I am having a hard time deciding if I would go for that one or the DD 118238 if I were to get a YG Rolex at some time.

I've had them both on. For me the black is the choice.

While the BLACK would be the automatic choice of most members here on this forum, the GREEN dial does look very beautiful too.
I've seen it in person and it would go well on very fair skin!! Just my 2 cents. Here's pics of both - take your pick!!

From the pictures, I like the green better, but I've never seen either one in person.

Thanks, but I've just been saving them whenever I get the chance. They are NOT mine, but I've been around a few forums these past 5 years and whenever I see a stunning picture, make it a point to just save it for future use.

Having studie dthe pics posted by JJ, the Black face is the more "classic", however the Green is stunning.

If I were to buy one, sight unseen, I would buy the green dial. But then again, I bought several yellow sports cars and I am not afraid of color...there is too much black around, every model has a black dial...there is only one green, that's how I would rationalize it.
cheers W

I went back to look again. I do like the black. If I won the Master's and they gave me one, then the green would do. Black and gold is a nice combo (especially since my TT is blue and gold). Thanks.

Saw the green in my AD. The green dial has lines within the green dial like a marble. I'll still go for black dial or an all gold sub blue dial
