Which watch to wear....

Hi all ...

I have a trip planned to Cancun this week and am in a little bit of a dilemma of which watch to bring on the trip.

My choices:

1. DDII - YG
2. DDII - Plat
3. Audemars RO 41
4. Breitling Chronomat Evolution TT/RG

I'm not planning on making too many off resort trips but when I do, I'd rather not worry... and I'd rather just bring one this time.

So I am asking you fine people, which would you choose?

I'll be sure to post pics

not sure what the TT means in RO 41 but i vote AP. Less flashy but still awesome.

Too bad it wasn't a ROO.

DDII platinum, only because I think it may be the least flashy, kind of crazy to say that about the Platinum DDII.
The others are either gold or have enough gold to have them stand out.
My thought is the platinum will fly somewhat under the radar.

Maybe it's time for a simple SS sub for trips like this?

Either way, have a great trip!

Just got back from Mexico on holidays, had an e-reader grow legs and walk away from our hotel room. As a WIS I noticed that about 95% of men wore cheap digital watches(Timex etc). The most worn watch by the Mexican people was the F-91W.

That being said leave your high valued watches at home in a safe.

Was in Cancun last October. No worries about the locals. My wife and I took the bus down the strip and walked around town. I'd go with the RO.

Personally I wouldn't bring a nice watch with me. I heard that even the resort areas of Mexico are getting a little dodgy.

The Mexican cartel is full of watch collectors. I would say buy a $350 seiko or some Casio that you wouldn't wear here. A gold rolex sticks out like a terd in a punch bowl.

I agree with the others. Wear a junker watch. A tourist with a Rolex is a prime target.

Just got back from a week in Brazil wearing my G-Shock. That's also what I would wear when I go to Mexico.

Thanks everyone for the responses - MJ, this made me laugh. I keep throwing around the idea of a sub or gmt... However I gravitate towards the YG versions, so not much success going utr there :)

I guess option 5 is a newly acquired citizen - keeps perfect time and no worries about it.

Will miss my others...

If they are all insured - which ever you prefer!

If they are not insured - none!

It can get dodgy down there sometimes, trust me. Wear something that won't put you and you loved ones lives in jeopardy

I was there in February. I took my g-shock. I went to a few local ADs and they had plenty mean looking hombres with sub machine guns, i'm guessing this is for a reason, unless you are staying in a resort like le-blanc id avoid YG.
