Yes, I think Rolex have a word for that - TRADITION!!! (Try to picture Topol in "Fiddler on the Roof")

But the difference now is that the no-date Sub would be COSC certified and have the Rolex inscription around the chapter ring.

Allan,

The one M series No Date COSC Sub I saw in California had the lug holes but no green hologram. It had the clear sticker with 14060m written on it.

Still lug holes, but no green sticker anymore. Same movt. as before (3130), but now it is COSC rated. The rehaut has the CRB.

Is there a reason why they didn't change the model number of this watch? They could at least have changed it to 14060C.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional

Why C? Because of the chronometer cert?

If it should change so should it be 114060 in my opinion.

Yes, Jocke the C in my fictional 14060C is for Chronometer but any change from 14060M would have been fine just to differentiate between the COSC and non COSC model.

I'm with Jocke. The watch uses the same movement. The difference appears quite clearly on the dial.
