What is it about this addiction?

I just bought a watch and I can't stop planning my next purchase! Its a sickness I am sure of it. I want to buy something right away...its a drug. Is there any cure? Suggestions? I NEED HELP...PLEASE!

I am sure anything that will help me, might help others on the forum...

cheers

That's ok, don't worry about it. Thank goodness there is no cure for this addiction.

I don't know if it's a cure, but being broke would stop ya from feeding your addiction.

Max out your 401K for the year, then max out the IRA, then pay off all the credit cards and check up on other debts, like mortgage and a car loan. If you can dump an extra principal payment into those loans while not dipping into your rainy day funds, then award yourself. Get another Rolex and repeat the process the next year.

We could have worse addictions.
There certainly are plenty of enablers here, you see a nice photo of a watch and all you want to do is have one of those on your wrist.
But it's all fun!
Just don't get in trouble with finances or family.

I feel like most, I would like to own more Rolexes as well as some other makes. It comes down to can you afford more, everything always comes down to money doesn't it! Money aside, do you really need more than maybe 2 styles. When I think of buying another Rolex I stop and think how much I enjoy the 2 I have. I still do enjoy looking at new ones at the ADs.

You want to make yourselves feel better and see worse addicts??? Hang out with some High End Audio guys....or some Italian Motorcycle enthusiasts (me included). Those guys are totally nuts. They make watch guys look like they're collecting PEZ : )

The question is: Do you REALLY want to be cured?

Stang, you and I have the same problem... And the funds would be "better suited" to more responsible endeavors!

I,m feeling the pull as well. My EXP II was my goal for many years and I finally made it last year - I love it, it does everything I want and fits my life perfectly. So WHY am I now lusting after an EXP 1?...its just weird.

I used to have the "sickness," but after I acquired my third SS Daytona in May (the other two were sold off in the past few years), I think I am good, for now :)

This would just create another problem, getting the watch on wrist w/o the aid of your hands

I know what you mean.I was in same situation for last few months, when I desperately wanted to buy SOMETHING with the crown.I finally bought very nice vintage Tudor and I was calm. For few days...
So,the procedure is:
1.start planning your next aquisition
2.look into the catalogues
3.go to your AD
...and eventually you`ll buy something new. With crown.
And then you`ll be back on 1.!
