Others will know this more than I, but I think Rolex warrantees their watches to be +/- 2 or 4 seconds per day. Meaning that if your Rolex is way off (more than the guarantee), then, so long as it's still under waranty, it's non-chargable. But if it's out of waranty, RSC will charge you for saying hello.

Most Rolex RSC are really nice.

I've had the San Francisco Rolex Service Center readjust my bracelet, add links, and inspect the watch to see if it needed service. All done without a charge.

The Beverly Hills Rolex Service Center regulated the same watch a month later to get it withing COSC and they didn't charge me a dime either.

The watch in question has been out of warranty for about 3 years now.

I guess the RSCs have been really nice to me. But, I've been told that most RSCs will help out with minor items as long as you're nice.

I stand corrected, I guess. I was told differently.

The COSC standard is for -4/+6 seconds a day to be called a chronometer.
