Rolex case problem

Hello everyone.

I have a question. I bought an old air king that has an
unuseable case. The number on the case is 5502. I have
(bought recently cheap) a rolex case with number 1501.
Will this case fit the movement in my air king, or if not
is there a way to find out what case(s) will, as there are cases
for sale but I dont know which one can be used. I cant
find an air king case in my price range.

Thank you for reading this,

OldKing.

Try to find a case with Ref. 5500 as the measurements of 5500/5501/5502/5506 have been the same and the 5500 is the most common.
Also this would be a correct Air King reference, while the 1501 would be a Date...

Bye

Marko

Though the case #'s are different as Marko said, the case sizes are identical.

If you have the book "The Rolex Report" by John E. Brozek, you can look up the case styles.
