Icon20 Rolex GMT IIc now with Chromalight blue?

I got myself a brand new GMT IIc, random serial. My AD got it from Switzerland during this week.

I tried out the lume in the dark today and was surprised, the lume is blue and look like it would be Chromalight and not the superluminova like the GMT supposed to have.

I took some pics together with my friends Datejust II and like to share with you guys.

Do you think Rolex put the Chromalight lume on the GMT 116710LN from now and forward?

Seen this under a UV light on a GMT. I'm guessing you weren't under a UV light ?.

Nice change though. I prefer the blue lume. I'm a sucker for anything with an electric blue light though ;)

love this thread. the DJII with silver dial was one of the choices I was narrowing down to before I decided on the GMTIIc. I'm glad I went with the GMTIIc.

I bet they did that in anticipation of the release of the GMT IIC Bruiser. The green lume would look terrible with that black/blue bezel and since the dials are the same between the current GMT IIc and the new bruiser, it makes sense they would change to blue lume across the line.

I was thinking the same. However, since the standard GMT IIc has green hand and text on the dial it would have made sense to keep the lume green. I guess we'll have to wait few months to understand if this is an oddity or consistent across the GMT line up.

I am jealous! I wonder if they have a conversion package for those of us with green lume.

Perhaps it's the only one in existence? ;-) Would be worth a fortune, perhaps. Looks very cool. Much better than green IMO.

I prefer the blue lume to the green, although I can see how green would work with the GMT IIc LN's green accents. Blue will of course work better with the new blue/black bezel insert

That's interesting. I just bought a G serial with green lume, glad I did then since I prefer the green lume in this case.
Blue still looks nice though, thanks for the heads up.
