Question on YM

When did ROLEX start to put the serial number inside the 6 o'clock postion? Was it post 2003?

I believe it was around 2005 when D serial was introduced.

Related question, would that also line up with when they started doing the rest of the engraved rehaut?

About 2005 along with thinner red font on the dial.

Rolex discontinued the serial between the lugs as it became standard just on the rehaut,and it was sometime during the M/V serial releases..
