The Alamo is a great spot !
We visited there in 1991 while on a conference at 3M in Austin and really enjoyed it and San Antonio.
Is the Imax theater still there ?
Remember having Dinner at a restaurant on the river walk and it was fantastic. It was the first time I ate blackened catfish and drank Corona beer and it was all great !

Dave, I'm really not sure about the IMAX, we haven't ran across it yet. And the river walk is nice, I haven't been here since childhood so it's really like a first trip. And I'm actually sitting here drinking a Tecate with lime, it just seems fitting in this city!

Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day!

It's pretty wild. 281 is shutdown with water over the roadway. They said there was over 12 inches of rain within 24 hours! And I was actually born in Austin, and lived near Lampasas until I left home for college. It's a great part of the world. My wife has never been to Austin, so it's defiantly on our list as well. We're are actually heading down to South Padre, but thought we would layover a few days in SA.

As a sidenote, we stopped by Tourneau here in San Antonio. I have heard they aren't very well thought of, but they seemed friendly enough I guess. Saw one 36mm gold Royal Oak and that was it. No other AP's, VC's, Breguets, or Pateks that I was wanting to see. Bummer! I was expecting a little more variety.

The Northstar mall by the airport has some decent PAM/Rolex/Omega and Montblanc selection. Is that Patek dealer still in Abilene?

Good to know, we almost stopped by Northstar this morning. And yes I believe Busch Jewelers in Abilene carries PP. The sad thing is I go through Abilene almost monthly, and I have never stopped there!

If you want to see more Rolexes and Pams, so you have to stop by Lee Michaels, and Morettis for Pateks.

P.s Nice pic with the alamo!
