If The Daytona Had A Date ...

I reckon this is what it would look like:

This is the first chronograph that I've liked apart from the Daytona.

Very tempting so someone please go and buy it before I do

The Tudor Chronograph is a great watch and fantastic value for money. However, I can't see a Daytona having the subdials at 12, 6 and 9. A Daytona, imo, should only have them at 3, 6 and 9 and the date could go between 4 and 5. I wish they'd do it.

check out the old "Tiger" models too - it is pretty crazy Rolex doesn't have a chrono w/date - even Porsche finally put a radiator and cup holders in the 911.

I guess the point is that its a professional model - a dude trying to beat his personal best sailing his maxi from sardinia to tuscany could'nt care what day it is

nice watch

I don't like it.

Like it or not, the Daytona is a classic. I wouldn't touch it

Theres a lot of people who wish there was a date on the Daytona and a lot who like it the way it is. I personally would like a date on it because I usually rely on my watches a lot to tell me what number of the month it is. All of the watches I own have a date feature.

I feel like if I wear the Daytona, I will occasionally be thinking that it has a date and Ill look down at it for the date when its not there. Ill eventually adjust to it but Ill be thinking like that for awhile.

If a date does get added, I say it should go somewhere near the 4 o clock marker without the sub dials being moved around at all.

I'd like a date on the Daytona, but one without the cyclops. I don't think it'd work with this watch like it does with the other Rollies. Breaks up the lines too much. Maybe one at 4 o'clock would look sharp.

Yeah I agree, if there was a date on there, it probably wont work with a cyclops. It will have to be like the SD.

To me a date is always a plus to have on any watch. The reason why people are against it on the Daytona is because it might complicate the design on the dial too much and it takes a different approach from the original style of the Daytona.

Already did. Have to have a date feature and love the cyclops.

I agree Steve.

I had a Tudor chrono. Nice watch, but very chunky.

I think that if the Daytona is ever going to get a date feature, the date window will be situated between 4 and 5 o' clock, like on the Zenith El Primero.

Agreed, Steve. The Daytona is an all time classic. The cyclops would ruin its looks.....and I'm saying this although I am a big fan of the cyclops!!

on the Daytona, I like to see the date below 12, that way the 3 current sub dials and the date will scale evenly. Otherwise, no date please.

If you only own one watch maybe you should opt for one with a date, but there's something so nice about the Daytona dial.

I decided to wear mine today after an extended trip with my GMT. When I turned the news this morning they said it was the 10th. That's the only date info I need today and I can still enjoy the classic dial of the current Daytona.
