Incoming ... G-Shock GW5610 ... is it dumb that I'm excited?
I have a SUB 114060 and a Speedmaster 3570. Yet, for some reason I kept looking at pics of the "classic" g-shock and reading opinions on them. People with Rolex's even have them and like them. "it's this generation's Tool watch". ... so I thought "why the heck not?" Anyway, I figured that I'd want the best representation and most classic. So I went with the GW5610 because it's the "classic" design and solar/atomic. Should be at my door this weekend. I'll take pics. |

I have similar watches (Rolex EXPII polar, SUB, Omega 3570.50, Omega Seamaster Chrono), but I love my G-Shock GW-7900B-1. It's a rugged watch and gets a lot of wrist time when I'm horsing around with the kids, cycling etc. The G-Shocks are bullet-proof and fun to wear.
Congrats on the new watch! |

Congrats! G-Shock is a great watch. I enjoy mine just as much as my Rolex. In fact I am wearing my GW-7900B right now as I type this. It's not something I'd wear with a suit or tux but for when working around the house, etc... its great. I like the solar/atomic feature. Between mechanical or solar watches I'll never buy a watch that requires battery replacement again.

I love my g-shock mudman. Watch is awesome and has so many useful functions. Also I wear it doing everything and it can take a serious beating, very tough watch

GOT IT! Now for pictures!
I got it! I couldn't be happier! It's comfortable, accurate and looks good. I like that I will not have to mess with a battery. I was afraid the strap would be too plastic feeling since I'm used to stainless and NATOs but it feels nice.
Unboxing... wrist shot! another wrist shot ... I actually kind of like the busy dial. Oh hey, a plane... What are those other watches? Is the G worthy? Ehh ... sure. why not. I want to go diving and I need to time something but I should wear my beater... Oh ... another plane ... So far I like my G-Shock. I haven't worn it for a whole day yet (only had it a day). ... can't really bring myself to NOT wear my SUB. I hope you liked the pictures. |
