I'll bet on the PO, given that the current SMP style is being discontinued.

Is that confirmed, is it being discontinued? Does that include the Bond blue face? I actually have the 2531.80and was thinking about the new 2220.80 because of the new movement.

I would be happy whether Bond wears Rolex or Omega. But the last few years, he has worn the "Bond" Seamaster.
Omega, in the last few years, has signed co-promotion deals with the owners of the James Bond movie franchise. They have as a tribute designated certain Seamaster models to be "Bond" models. But I haven't heard either way if they plan to promote the newer Planet Ocean model as the new Bond model or not. |

Good one!
Well, George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton also wore Subs but didn't wear any hairpieces to my knowledge.

The 2254 has been discontinued. It may reappear with a co-axial movement and WG surrounds however.

Bond wears a Rolex on an expanding metal bracelet..It doubles well as a knuckle duster, as a member of the opposition could verify, were he still around..Omega and Bond? Don't make me laugh! .....Only faux Bonds wear Omegas, have blond hair, don't use PPK's or exhibit a combination of these defamations to the franchise.

Bond should wear a Submariner LV with a NATO strap. I have seen a picture here in the forum and it looks sharp. and I mean the wide strap, not the one he wore in one of the movies which is too thin for my taste.

What if Bond wears a Daytona? Those Chrono pushers can give it some nifty tricks.

Bond has become synonymous with Omega now. Its going to be hard to change that perception and I'm sure that omega has too much invested to let that happen. After all, that is all that they have, now that the moon missions are over.

Not good advertising for the luminosity of Rolex dials, Mike!
Poor James has to light his Dunhill lighter to tell the time! + 1 to Omega!

The money spent by Omega for product placement in the Bond movies has paid off...heck I own 2 Omegas, the PO same as the one in Casino Royale and the Classic Seamaster used in Tomorrow Never Dies and others.
I would expect the relations to change soon, an interesting note they just switched Bond's clothing from Brioni to Dunhill. Know who ownes Dunhill? Richemont. Everyone know what watch companies Richemont ownes? Cartier. Piaget, Vacheron, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC, Panerai, Baume, MonteBlanc. I would expect Bond 23 to have one of those brands and his watch. |
