Should my bracelet go in for refurb?

I've seen some crazy stretch but wondered if my 93150 Submariner fliplock should go in for service to avoid getting worse or tighten up for better fit?

This is as "articulated" as it gets.

Thanks forum wisdom.

Most bracelet wear is caused either by wearing watch too lose or not keeping the bracelet clean. How old is your bracelet afraid Rolex themselves will want you to buy a new one as they do not repair the wear in the links.

I really cleaned good when received. And wear tight enough not to go over my wristbone but not too tight. I thought stretch was from dirt more than wear. However, first 20 years I couldn't control.

Was going to send off for refurb. But wanted forum input as to whether I should do now or later.

Looks like you have at minimum, another hard wearing 10 years in that bracelet, no worries!

As far as how tight or loose to wear it, the stretch or wear in the bracelet is imho, irrellevent, the owners comfort should be the first and last consideration.

Please check out my recent thread regarding a well worn bracelet: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=301536

I'd leave that alone. To properly demo bracelet tension you should
Hold the buckle at 90' from ground and check for droop.

In general, yes - that is correct..

"Stretch" does not really mean stretch from a tight bracelet being pulled excessively.. It is a generic term for a worn out bracelet that has pins worn thinner and grooves ground into the links where the pins go through. This wear is most frequently caused by grit that acts like sandpaper and hammering caused by constant pulling-and-pushing between the links. Both of these are amplified by a loosely worn bracelet..

Stretch simply means that the length of the bracelet has increased (by the wear mentioned) and not that any metal has actually stretched...

This one does not exhibit excessive "stretch" (wear)

Fyi, i regularly change all springbars,
those that insert into lugs and those that are found in clasp...
Make sure they are oem items!
It is piece of mind for only a few dollars, sometimes no charge at all.

Thanks for all the feedback!

Since everyone loves photos: Here's a shot on a strap I'd planned to use while out of the country. And below on the bracelet.

Looks good! Just wear that bracelet IMO, I've seen people with much more 'stretch'. I think that bracelet would still last a couple more years.

I really don't think that your "stretch" looks all that bad. Keep it cleaned regularly and you should be able to get years out of it yet.

You're nowhere near the need for a refurb IMHO. Bracelet looks good so just go ahead and wear it!
