lets be honest

See if you can guess why I am asking this question. How many wives are pist-off that we spent thousands of dollars on watches?

My wife doesn't get pissed off, as long as she buys her Rolex watches too. You see, she loves Rolex watches as well, so no argument there. Whenever I buy one, she buys one.

Not here.

My wife encouraged me to get a Daytona. She wears a DJ, a B&M Catwalk, an Ikepod, and she wants a Panerai and a Breguet as well.

No problems here...yet. But my wife couldn't care less. She's the sort of no frills person that you even have to force even jewelery on to her. She'd probably rather know that I spend money and energy on this than at something else.

cheers

My GF does not give a damn about my Rolex watches. She couldn't even tell the difference between my SS Cos and GMT IIc if I twisted her arm. Besides that, she spends at least as much money on clothes as I do on Rolex watches. We have agreed to not interfere with eachother's interests.

My wife thinks I'm nuts but as long as I don't spend household money she doesn't mind.

Err buddy Jason...similar to you...Wifey doesn't get piss off...provided Orchi remembers to get her her share of Rolexes...during special occasions.

Unless...Orchi gets another woman...

My GF thinks I spend too much on watches, but she always gets her bags and shoes in the sales, so are half the price, or so she says, she must think Im stupid to believe that, so all my watches are bought "in the sales". If she ever sold my watches for what I told her they cost, i would be a pauper.

my missus is not interested in my watch passion in the slightest providing I am spending within my means and let her know about each purchase beforehand, she usually fine.

Is it because of the black Trans Am that talks?

Anyway, my wife knows how long I've wanted a Sub, and supported the spending! She just doesn't like how much time I spend on the computer now! Now, if I could just find a good excuse to go to Der Schweitz...

This summer marks our 10th anniversary and my wife has never had a problem with my spending on motorcycles or watches. She knew what she was in for when we spent our honeymoon in Zermatt & Zurich Switzerland, and I kept circling Bucherer.

Choose your mate wisely!

Well.. I'm not married yet but, my girlfriend loves the Rolex. She thinks I need to forever keep the first one (my new Sub date) and to increase to my next loved watch (SS Daytona Black Dial).

The way I think about it, I just sold my Harley Davidson that I bought new in 2005 to move out to the east coast for another job. So, I traded a 18K motorcycle for a 5K Sub.

So - I think that leaves about 13K to invest on the Daytona right? I think I'll pay off the Sub first. Daytona will come around the end of the year I'm guessing.

OH- BUT SHE GETS PISSSSSSED THAT I'M ON HERE ALL THE TIME!!!!

(she'll get used to it!)
