How to fit a new clasp into this Oyster bracelet ?
Hi all,
I got a Tudor chrono and I would like to buy for it an aftermarket oyster bracelet (with SEL). I found these SEL aftermarket bracelets, but they have the diver clasp on them, so I need your help in order to know how to fit a "simple" Tudor buckle (top pic) into a Rolex Oyster submariner style bracelet (bottom pic) replacing the default clasp (with diver expansion) with the more classical buckle; have I to push out the pin (red arrow) with a small hammer and link there the new clasp ? Any other way ? Any help is really appeciated ( pics are very ) !!!!! Thanks, Engi |

Welcome to TRF!
Maybe there are more technically skilled members here who can help you out on this one. Personally, I think it looks like a task for a watch maker, though. Best of luck!

just separate it with the pin. Here you can see how I put a Daytona clasp on my Yachtmaster. Here is the parts. And the extra micro adjustment link. Mmmm nice. Ok we open it up and take a look. The solid part who don´t looks like a regular clasp. And the extra springbar who secure the extra lock. Ok I have to pull off the orginal clasp at the Yacht-Master so we can compare then side by side. Then I have to put it on and I have to pull off a link at the bracelet and put it at the other side to get the clasp in the center of the bracelet. From the start the removable links at the bracelet only is at one side. Here is the result. The secure lock feels real smooth and it looks real nice and clean when it´s closed. Jocke

Thanks Joke, really interesting and beautiful pics as usual ...!
Now just a question: where to find the first screwed link ? I assume so that if I want a new clasp, it has to come with this extra link already installed on the clasp, is it true ? Thanks, Engi |
