Dial on new GMT

Just occurred to me would have been nice to see blue lettering on the dial of the new GMT watches similar to the green lettering on the previous version. Just a thought! Seems like that would have really given the watch a nice pop!
Thoughts? Comments?

Well IMHO the second time zone should have been red and also the GMT fonts in red IMHO would have been a much better contrast,

The red accents on the dial and the half blue bezel would have kind of gave it the pepsi effect :)

What do you mean by "previous" version? The BLNR didn't replace anything.

Personally font colors aren't that significant to me as long as they match something. As far as what colors are more legible in low light, I can't remember the last time I actually needed to read the text on my watch. And as someone pointed out the font is so small that to me it just doesn't really affect the overall look of the watch that much. If anything, the less legible it is and the less noticeable it is, then the less busy the dial looks. What I do like about the green hand and font is what it signifies. Rolex tends to commemorate 50th anniversaries with green accents and I believe the green was put on the GMTC for this reason. Now I certainly understand why they went with the blue hand on the new model.

Obviously I'm not as detail oriented as some.

Love the red contrast. I feel that the ceramic GMT is too dark and lacks contrast.

Tom, I tried it on yesterday at my AD and I thought the same thing. I wonder though, would the lettering have been too difficult to read against the black if they did it in blue, seen as the lettering so small.
Anyway, It's a nice piece. I really liked it.

I prefer it with the white lettering. A bit more simple.

x2

there's enough blue with the bezel and 24-hour hand.

To be honest, the green lettering is also quite hard to read unless in bright light.
