Too good to be true?

I recently came across a vintage Rolex Datejust at what I would consider an unbelievable price. From my research, the watch is circa 1980's. I wanted to post a picture of the oyster band with the end pieces numbered 501 B. The watch does need maintenance but I'm perfectly okay with spending a little money to make this watch a gem again.

I've uploaded a pic of the questionable end pieces.

Like the old saying goes, "if it's too good to be true it probably is." Any comments are welcomed.

Cheers,

Dustin

Methinks a DJ of that era would have lug holes, right?

Fakey looking to me

I like the dial. As to authenticity and right end links. No clue

That was my first questionable detail that it is a no hole case. I have a 1993 two tone and it has lug holes.

Did Rolex even put an Oyster band on DateJust models in the 80s?

Those are not authentic 501B endlinks.
