Cartier Santos 100 XL, your thoughts? Thinking of buying one

Hey TRF,

Just wanted to get your opinions on the Cartier Santos 100 XL while I think about picking one up. My current collection is all Rolex, never owned another high-end watch brand. I'm looking to add a strap watch to my collection at a cost of under $6k, and I love the look of the Santos 100 XL.

Is there anything that I need to watch out for, be on the lookout for, or take into consideration when buying a Cartier watch especially? I understand that a swiss watch will need to be serviced just like Rolex's.

Anyone know how the straps hold up/ cost to replace?

Thanks all for your input

Cartier makes some great watches! Some even have their own in house movement!

I have this one, and I really like it!

This particular one however doesn't really go well with all my clothing, so lately I've found myself contemplating getting a s/s one on a brown leather strap!
