just how great is glidelock?
ok, im currently saving/ trying to decide on my next watch. i dont really want to get into that debate, but the DSSD is one of the two.
walking around a local art fair today i def. could have used some micro adjustment. it was about 90deg and sunny. my wrist swelled and the watch obviously became to tight. well, is the glidelock the tipping point to sway me? everyone says its easy to adjust, and awesome for this situation. or is it not as big of a deal? just wanted to hear some thoughts. |

Perfect--especially in the summer time. Makes it so easy to make minor increase or decrease
Wish more models had it. |

Its better on the DSSD than sub, as you can adjust it on your wrist, sub needs to be taken off to adjust (at least it does by me!)

If you are picky about your fit...it is almost must. I don't make daily adjustments...but I will adjust it when winter gets here. I personally love it.

I've gone as far as carrying a SIM-popping tool on my keys to adjust my Sub or Explorer II on the go. Glidelock is what's making me want a new Sub so bad.

...if the other model you are considering is one with the Oyster Easylink extension bracelet, they work good also.

Great! I like a very snug fit to my watches. Depending on the type of bracelet, a particular watch may be difficult to fit over my hand. With a glidelock, the bracelet can be made loose to easily fit over my hand, then tightened up.

Quite underwhelmed actually, the fit on wrist for me was no better than the easylink and, infact, I found the glidelock clasp rather uncomfortable to wear due to the extra length of the cover.

Glidelock is awesome! I just wish the clasp on my SubC was a little bit smaller.
