Uh Oh... Time to Ditch Your Cs-133 Clock???
Time for scientists to start saving for a new breed of clock that is 3 times more stable (and therefore more accurate) than current technology Cesium-133 atomic clocks. This will redefine the meaning of a "New York second" as well as other seconds all around the world.
Scientists have determined that a strontium-based optical lattice using lasers vs. masers will provide a whole new level of accuracy in measuring the duration of a standard "second". Now don't throw out all those clocks you have around the house that are controlled by an "atomic clock" - they actually get their time signals via a radio signal that comes from mother ship where a Cs-133 clock resides. Eventually, these Cs-133 clocks will be relegated to commercial activity while the newer Sr-38 clocks take over the scientific measurement activity. Leo, Tim -
Do either of you notice that the Seiko's can't sync if the watch is left indoors for a few days? Like in a drawer or watch case... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2

Mine depends on where it's at. When I used it at work it wouldn't set itself at all over night. At my house no go either. My girlfriends house, well it resets itself every night no matter where I leave it in the house. Weird, I've heard different reviews of people having the same problem. I assume the geographics of where you have it at might make the signal not able to get through. I solved the problem by just leaving it at her house, ususlly along with me. It always is reset in the AM and when I ck it against the atomic clock it's always spot on. Funny thing is that I live only 1/2 mile from her and I'm at a much higher elevation so I would think that it would be the opposite.. . Sorry, I really didn't answer your question but I can tell you this... I never leave it in a drawer but always on a shelf in the sun so it has a full charge. There were some times when I had it at work and over a weekend left it in my gear bag and the next week when I took it out at work it had gone into the battery save mode. When I took it out into the light everything turned on, and it adjusted itself to the correct time and it was showing that it had reset itslf, so I guess no mine never did what you are describing.
