There's tickets left for the thursday concert.

Soooo, I'm already there then. Been trying to convince Eva to come with me to two concerts of Jimmy, but she thinks otherwise.

I love Jimmy, but I am kind of surprised he is so big in Paris. He has been going for years and seemingly drawing well there. Should be an awesome show (as usual).

I'm not sure... It's at a small venue, the La Cigale... He's having a second concert a few days before, just announced. Even smaller venue, about half the size.

Try and get tickets? It says sold out though...

I know he's played at the L'Olympia Theater before which is a Paris icon. La Gigale is nestled along from the fleshpots of Pigalle, and when I was last there a few years ago it was pretty shabby but somehow even then had an interesting ambiance. I've seen a few acts there in the past. It may have been renovated since tho' and I think I read some scenes from Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris were shot there. It'll be a great concert as they always are, albeit pretty much to a formula. ...but then it is in Paris!

Many years ago, Jerry Jeff Walker was playing in a bar in the French Quarter in New Orleans.

A buddy called me at the last minute with some free tickets he'd gotten somehow and we got there ASAP.

Right in the middle of the first set, Jimmy Buffet showed up from out of the crowd!

That was quite a night!
