Roger Dubuis

I've been invited to an 'Evening With Roger Dubuis' tomorrow night, with their regional CEO present and cocktails and stuff. I've only seen their Easy Diver on various forums and ads but I know very little about them. Apparently they are a manufacture and make big watches ie over 40mm.

If anyone has any experience with them or opinions, I'd be grateful.

RB is generally considered to be the equal of Patek but with even higher exclusivity due to very limited production. I'd love to own a RB one day.

Thanks applebook, I'd read that too.

Furthermore, the Richemont Group just bought out their components plant and are selling them back to the Manufacture. I wonder if that might have an effect further on down, as the RG is also handling distribution and marketing the US and some other key markets.

The Easy Diver range is impressive, but the rest of the collection looks a little blingy.

RB watches are a bit of acquired taste, and I admit that I probably will never warm up to some of his designs, but they are high art rather than just fashion. The movements are absolutely stunning.

I agree applebook.

The Easy Diver range itself comprises what... 12-15 references?? Almost a bit like they don't know what they want to be.

I'll see how it goes tonight and maybe ask a few tough questions

Will report back.
