Starting to think about my next purchase...
My current lineup consists of a Sub-C and a Speedmaster. Both I truly love, but like most here, I'm starting to get the itch again!!! The watch I keep looking at is the Explorer II with the white dial. Its different from the current two and with in a budget for me. I've thought of going vintage or something different like a Panerai. In all honesty, I would like to stick with Rolex!! Just looking for insight or a different option.
Thanks, Brent |

My 40mm Explorer II (white dial) is a great all around watch and dresses up nicely. Good luck

Explorer is a nice watch, and the white dial is nice. :-)

Are you talking about the old 40mm or new 42mm ExpII?

The new white dial explorer II is a beauty. Go for it.

Exp II is a very nice watch, as is the GMT IIc
Aesthetically, the Twinlock crown puts me off the Exp II a wee bit

Go vintage...How about a classic 1655 Exp II?

Indeed! I would prefer a vintage watch myself as it would offer even more variety but if this is your decision some homework will be in order to make sure you pay the right price for the watch in the right condition. Otherwise the Explorer-II is a great choice, I prefer the 40mm myself but if you like bigger watches it sure is a beautiful model.

I would strongly consider the older 40mm Exp II Polar (16570). I wear it more than any of my other watches and absolutely love it.

I think the Explorer II (white dial) would be perfect compliment to what you have. 40 or 42mm are both great choices. FYI, I will be going with the 16570 eventually. Good luck with your decision.

I would say get some colour, be it a TT, Hulk or white dial Expy or Daytona, whichever rocks your socks.

Expy II would be a nice mix, compliment the rest well.

Go vintage. I bought a Pam 104 after a TT datejust. Stick with rolex, vintage is great. If considering another brand ?AP or PP. Although interesting, panerai are not special or robust IMHO. Btw, I still wear the Pam, the rolex is better made.

40mm Explorer II gets my vote. It will round out the genres of your watches. One chronograph, one dive and one with a GMT function.
