Extremely sharp! I've been reading that Bob is very busy, how long did you have to wait and were there any communications issues?

Marc, The Issues Are Now Ok. Barbara's Husband Was In A Bad Car Crash
And Was In The Hospital For Over A Week Or So. He Is Now Back Home And
And Doing Better, So Barbara Is Back To Work. Bob Was Working So Much That
He Could Not Work The Phones As Well. Bob Is Now In The Process Of Hiring Some
Help As He Is Just Swamped. He Wants To Improve The Turnaround Time For His Customers, But As Of Now He Is Still Doing All The Work Himself. You Might Wait A Little Longer For Now But His Quality Is Well Worth Any Wait IMHO.

Mike, I've Herd That Before. I Just Do It, I Think It's Easier To Read
When Typing. Although It's Not Really The Correct Way Of Doing It.
But Let's Not Sweat The Small Stuff.

My recent membership to this forum has been very helpful. I got a few names of watchmakers to send in a couple of Rolexes that need some work and I elected to go with Bob Ridley. Within about an hour of sending Bob an email, Barbara called me on the phone with excellent advice and sincere admiration for Bob's work. I was sold based on his reputation and Barbara's customer service. She arranged insured shipping and UPS pickup for both watches. The Submariner apparently has some collector value so I wanted that maintained, something Bob is apparently good at. The Daytona just needs movement service and some TLC so I sent it along. This thread is nice reinforcement that I likely made a good choice. I'll post back up before and after once I get the watches back.

Here's the "before" picture....

I just sent a couple of watches off to Bob...one is a Mark IV "red letter" Submariner and the other is my trusty old Daytona 1165233 SS black face (my EDW). Very impressive customer service...Barbara called me on the phone about an hours after emailing an inquiry. Not yet sure what I'm going to have him do with the red Sub, but the Daytona is going to be pretty much movement service and some polishing. Maybe a bezel.

Glad to see Bob is held in such high regard around here.

Sadly, I note there has not been a definitive answer to the questions . . .

Any chance of clarifying the turn around time and/or what the issues were so as to avoid any potential issues.

Thanks
